Stream Restoration Director
Brief info
Kristin has been with Michigan TU since 2009. She was the Aquatic Ecologist until 2023 at which time she became the Stream Restoration Director. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Ecology from Winona State University in 2005 and a Master's of Science in Aquatic Science from Grand Valley State University in 2008.
Kristin's focus with Michigan TU is identifying and implementing on the ground stream restoration work. She is involved in all aspects of project management including design, fundraising, and construction oversight. Kristin loves learning how to improve project success and is always excited about opportunities to expand her stream restoration knowledge.
One aspect of her job that Kristin particularly enjoys is the challenge of identifying limiting factors and implementing projects to address identified limitations. The more challenges involved, the greater the satisfaction of a successful project. Outside of work, she resides with her husband and three kids in the Lansing area.
