Brief info
Joe Barker is a retired labor law attorney from the Senior Executive Service of the federal government with the National Labor Relations Board, spending 27 years in the Detroit Regional Office and five years in Chicago as Regional Director. He published numerous labor law articles during his career and was a trial attorney instructor and labor law lecturer at various conferences. He also served as a part-time adjunct professor at the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Law.
Joe graduated with a journalism degree from Michigan State University and a juris doctorate from the University of Detroit-Mercy. He is currently a fly-tying artist who has appeared at the Midwest Fly Fishing Expo and various art and craft shows for over 30 years. He has published three books on fly fishing and fly tying, which can be found on Amazon. His flies are sold on eBay, Etsy, and his website.
