Chairman
Brief info

In my day job, I own a consulting firm, Northern Strategies 360, which provides clients with comprehensive government affairs services including direct advocacy and legislative engagement at the local, state, and federal levels. This includes assisting clients in the healthcare, higher education, and non-profit sectors.

Prior to founding Northern Strategies 360, I served as the Regional Representative and Community Affairs Specialist for U.S. Senator Carl Levin in an 18-county region of Northern Lower Michigan for over 12 years. In this capacity he worked with numerous local groups and organizations on issues ranging from early childhood education to natural resource and economic development issues.

I hold a B.A. in International Relations with a specialization in Environmental Economics from Michigan State University’s James Madison College and grew up in the rural community of Bath, outside of Lansing in mid-Michigan.

I enjoy fishing the Boardman River, Upper Manistee and South Branch of the Au Sable for brook and brown trout as well as seeking out bluegills in the spring and salmon in the fall on the lakes and bays surrounding Traverse City. In addition to fishing, I am an avid mountain biker and telemark skier.
